Position Summary: A Retail Sales Associate is responsible for selling merchandise and assisting customers in finding the right product. Day-to-day duties include customer service tasks such as welcoming shoppers, offering assistance, making recommendations, answering questions and explaining the features of merchandise. Other common duties include operating cash registers, bagging products, stocking shelves, and preparing displays.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year of retail experience desired

Job Responsibilities:

• Serves customers by helping them select merchandise.
• Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling., and sharing product knowledge.
• Greets and receives customers in a welcoming manner.
• Introduces promotions to customers.
• Cross-selling products to increases sales.
• Responds to customers ‘questions.
• Directs customers by escorting them to racks and counters.
• Provides outstanding customer service.
• Processes payments by totaling purchases, processing checks, cash, and store or other credit and debit cards.
• Stocks, prepares, and maintains displays of merchandise.
• Bags purchased merchandise.
• Answers front desk phone. 
• Alerts CEO and management of potential security issues.
• Assists with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
• Keeps clientele informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest.
• Maintains an orderly and presentable appearance throughout the sales floor.
• Maintains a clean working environment including trash removal, disinfecting surfaces, restroom sanitation, and shared office/common spaces.
• All other job duties delegated by CEO and Management Team.
